Eventus, LLC d/b/a Eventus (“Eventus,” “us”, “we”, or “our”) operates the https://www.dceventus.com website (the “Site” or “Service”).

This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our Service and the choices you have associated with that data.

SECTION 1 – DEFINITIONS

Service: Service is the https://www.dceventus.com website operated by Eventus.

Personal Data: Personal Data means data about a living individual who can be identified from those data (or from those and other information either in our possession or likely to come into our possession).

Usage Data: Usage Data is data collected automatically either generated by the use of the Service or from the Service infrastructure itself (for example, the duration of a page visit).

Cookies: Cookies are small pieces of data stored on your device (computer or mobile device).

Data Controller: Data Controller means the natural or legal person who (either alone or jointly or in common with other persons) determines the purposes for which and the manner in which any personal information are, or are to be, processed. For the purpose of this Privacy Policy, we are a Data Controller of your Personal Data.

Eventus takes your privacy very seriously. We use the collected data for the following purposes:

(ii) To notify you about changes to the Site and our Services.
(iii) To allow you to participate in interactive features of the Site and our Services when you choose to do so.
(iv) To provide customer support.
(v) To gather analysis or valuable information so that we can improve the Site and our Services.
(vi) To monitor the usage of the Site and our Services.
(vii) To detect, prevent, and address technical issues.
(viii) To provide you with news, special offers, and general information about other goods, services, and events which we offer that are similar to those that you have already purchased or enquired about unless you have opted not to receive such information.

We agree that we will not share, sell, rent, or otherwise distribute your PII with outside parties; except that Eventus may disclose your Personal Data in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to:

(i) To provide products or Services you’ve requested through us.
(ii) In response to a validly issued subpoena, court order, or other legal process.
(iii) To protect and defend the rights or property of Eventus.
(iv) To prevent or investigate possible wrongdoing in connection with the Site or our Services. 
(v) To protect the personal safety of Users of the Site, our Services, or the public.
(vi) When necessary to establish or exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims made by you or on your behalf.

From time to time, we may employ the use of return email addresses to answer the email we receive from you. Such addresses are not used for any other purpose and are not shared with outside parties.

Finally, we agree that we will never use or share the PII provided to us by you in any way that violates or is otherwise unrelated to the means described in this agreement, without also providing you an opportunity to opt-out or otherwise prohibit such unrelated uses.

SECTION 3 – REGISTRATION

In order to use some features of the Site, you must first complete the registration process. During registration, you are required to provide certain PII, including, but not limited to the information described above (see Section 1). This information will periodically be used by us to contact you about site news, updates, changes to this policy, and to enable you to retrieve your password, if necessary.

SECTION 4 – CORRECTION OF PERSONALLY IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION

So that we may best serve you, you are responsible for ensuring that all PII you provide on this site is maintained and kept current.

SECTION 5 – COOKIES

Eventus uses cookies to remember certain user information. This allows users of the Site to avoid logging in more than once, thereby saving time. You may, at any time, disable or refuse to accept cookies by changing the preferences or settings on your web browser. If you choose to disable cookies, you will still be able to use our Site. However, you will not be able to fully take advantage of certain automation and other functionality features available on this Site. SECTION 6 – WEB STATISTICS & SHARED DATA

We collect and use IP addresses to analyze trends, administer the site, track user movement, and gather broad aggregate demographic information for reporting and sponsorship purposes. IP addresses are not linked to PII.

From time to time, we may use non-identifiable aggregate information to better design our Site and to share with select advertising partners, sponsors, and/or affiliates. For example, we may tell an advertiser that X number of individuals visited a certain area on our Site, or that Y number of men and Z number of women filled out our registration form, but we would not disclose anything that could be used to personally identify those individuals.

SECTION 7 – DATA PROCESSING, REENTION, AND TRANSFER 

Legal Basis For Processing Personal Data Under GDPR

If you are from the European Economic Area (EEA), Eventus’s legal basis for collecting and using the personal information described in this Privacy Policy depends on the Personal Data we collect and the specific context in which we collect it. Eventus may process your personal data because:

(i) We need to perform a contract with you.
(ii) You have given us permission to do so.
(iii) The processing is in our legitimate interests, and it’s not overridden by your rights.
(iv) To comply with the law.

Data Retention 

Eventus will retain your Personal Data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. We will retain and use your Personal Data to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations (for example, if we are required to retain your data to comply with applicable laws), resolve disputes, and enforce our legal agreements and policies.

Eventus will also retain Usage Data for internal analysis purposes. Usage Data is generally retained for a shorter period of time, except when this data is used to strengthen the security or to improve the functionality of the Site our Services; or we are legally obligated to retain this data for longer time periods.

Data Transfer 

Your information, including Personal Data, may be transferred to, and maintained on, computers located outside of your state, province, country, or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ than those from your jurisdiction.

If you are located outside United States and choose to provide information to us, please note that we transfer the data, including Personal Data, to United States and process it there.

Your consent to this Privacy Policy followed by your submission of such information represents your agreement to that transfer.

Eventus will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy and no transfer of your Personal Data will take place to an organization or a country unless there are adequate controls in place including the security of your data and other personal information.

SECTION 8 – YOUR DATA PROTECTION RIGHTS UNDER GENERAL DATA PROTECTION REGULATION (GDPR)

Eventus supports the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and all Eventus services comply with its provisions. If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA), you have certain data protection rights. Eventus aims to take reasonable steps to allow you to correct, amend, delete, or limit the use of your Personal Data.

If you wish to be informed what Personal Data we hold about you and if you want it to be removed from our systems, please contact us.

In certain circumstances, you have the following data protection rights:

(i) The right to access, update, or to delete the information we have on you: Whenever made possible, you can access, update, or request deletion of your Personal Data directly within your account settings section. If you are unable to perform these actions yourself, please contact us to assist you.

(ii) The right of rectification: You have the right to have your information rectified if that information is inaccurate or incomplete.

(iii) The right to object: You have the right to object to our processing of your Personal Data.

(iv) The right of restriction: You have the right to request that we restrict the processing of your personal information.

(v) The right to data portability: You have the right to be provided with a copy of the information we have on you in a structured, machine-readable, and commonly used format.

(vi) The right to withdraw consent: You also have the right to withdraw your consent at any time where Eventus relied on your consent to process your personal information.

Please note that we may ask you to verify your identity before responding to such requests. You have the right to complain to a Data Protection Authority about our collection and use of your Personal Data. SECTION 9 – YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION RIGHTS UNDER THE CALIFORNIA CONSUMER PRIVACY ACT (CCPA)

Effective January 1, 2020, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) gives California consumers new privacy rights regarding their personal information (PI). These rights include:

(i) Abbreviated Disclosure Right Applicable to Businesses that Collect PI: Provides a consumer the right to request that a business disclose the categories and specific pieces of PI collected about them.

(ii) Expanded Discovery Right Applicable to Businesses that Collect PI: Provides a consumer the right to request that a business disclose the categories and specific pieces of PI collected, sources from which the PI is collected, the business or commercial purpose (similar to legitimate interests under the GDPR) of collection, and to whom the collected PI is shared (i.e., third-party sharing). Consumers have the right to receive a specific notice of the business’ PI collection practices as well as notice of these rights within the business’ general privacy policy.

(iii) Right to Request Information from Businesses that Sell or Disclose PI for a Business Purpose: Provides consumers the right to request that a business disclose for the previous 12 months: (i) the categories of PI collected and sold; (ii) the categories of third parties to whom data is sold; and (iii) the categories of PI disclosed about the consumer for a business purpose. Consumers have the right to receive specific notice of the business’ PI collection practices as well as notice of these rights within the business’ general privacy policy.

(iv) Right to Opt-Out of the Sale of Data: Gives consumers or their authorized agent the ability to direct businesses to stop selling their PI to third parties. Consumers have the right to receive notice of these rights within the business’ general privacy policy.

(v) Right to Opt-In for Children: Business Obligation Not to Sell Children’s PI Without Affirmative Authorization: Provides that a business must obtain the opt-in consent from the child’s parent or guardian before selling the child’s PI.

(vi) Deletion Rights: Gives consumers the right to request that a business delete their PI after receipt of a verifiable request. In support of this right, consumers have the right to receive notice of their right to deletion within the business’ general privacy policy.

(vii) Rights to Access and Portability: Provides consumers the right to access their PI after submitting a verifiable access request.

(viii) Right Not to be Discriminated Against for Exercising Any of the Consumer’s Rights under the Title: Gives consumers the right to not be discriminated against for exercising their rights under the CCPA. Examples of discrimination include: denying goods or services to the consumer, charging different prices or rates for goods or services, providing a different level or quality of goods or services to the consumer, or suggesting that the consumer will receive a different price or rate for goods or services or a different level or quality of goods or services.

We will need to verify the requesting consumer’s identity and validity of the request and, upon successful verification, Eventus will act on request-specific obligations. SECTION 10 – EU-U.S/SWISS-U.S. PRIVACY SHIELD FRAMEWORK COMPLIANCE 

Eventus complies with the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework and the Swiss-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework as set forth by the U.S. Department of Commerce regarding the collection, use, and retention of personal information transferred from the European Union and Switzerland to the United States, respectively. Eventus has certified to the Department of Commerce that it adheres to the Privacy Shield Principles. If there is any conflict between the terms in this Privacy Policy and the Privacy Shield Principles, the Privacy Shield Principles shall govern. SECTION 11 – DATA SECURITY

To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we have established appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online. The security of your data is important to us, but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Data, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

SECTION 12 – CHILDREN’S PRIVACY

Our Site and the services we offer are intended for Users sophisticated in legal and e-discovery matters. Therefore, it is unlikely that children under the age of 17 will use the Site or purchase the services we offer. Regardless, we will not knowingly collect or use any personal information from children that we know to be under the age of 17. In addition, we will delete any information in our database that we know originates from a child under the age of 17.

SECTION 13 – SCOPE OF THIS AGREEMENT

Although this agreement applies to the entirety of information obtained by you for the purpose of accessing or using content controlled and owned by Eventus, it does not apply to entities that are not owned or controlled by us. Please review our Terms of Service agreement as well.

SECTION 14 – OPT-IN POLICY

You may “opt in” to receive newsletters, promotional offers, and other useful information from us. To unsubscribe from our mailings (except important system and content update information detailed below), you can do so by clicking “unsubscribe” from our emails, managing your preferences in our Site, or by contacting dceventus@gmail.com

Please note: You may not unsubscribe from receiving service announcements and important content update information regarding the Site or our Services, including but not limited to: service and account changes, Site upgrades, Site cancellation, or business termination information.

SECTION 15 – LINKS TO OTHER SITES

The Site and our Service may contain links to other sites that are not operated by us. If you click on a third party link, you will be directed to that third party’s site. We strongly advise you to review the Privacy Policy of every site you visit.

We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies or practices of any third party sites or services.

SECTION 16 – SERVICE PROVIDERS

We may employ third party companies and individuals to facilitate the Site or our Services (“Service Providers”), to provide the Services on our behalf, to perform Service-related services or to assist us in analyzing how our Service is used.

Google Analytics: Google Analytics is a web analytics service offered by Google that tracks and reports website traffic. Google uses the data collected to track and monitor the use of our Service. This data is shared with other Google services. Google may use the collected data to contextualize and personalize the ads of its own advertising network. You can opt-out of having made your activity on the Service available to Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. The add-on prevents the Google Analytics JavaScript (ga.js, analytics.js, and dc.js) from sharing information with Google Analytics about visits activity. We reserve the right to amend this Notice from time to time consistent with the Privacy Shield’s requirements. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted on this page. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. We will let you know via email and/or a prominent notice on the Site, prior to the change becoming effective and update the “effective date” at the top of this Privacy Policy.
